The projects were implemented in Koza Zari, Bara Zera, and Okrai village of the district, where its people have now access to clean drinking water. The project contains solar and water reservoirs.
SCA representative and head of the office of Jalalabad Regional Management Office, Abdul Ahad Samoon praised the active role of communities in the implementation of these projects and committed that SCA will continue its activities in the district.
The people of these villages are happy and stated that SCA fulfilled their basic need, which is clean drinking water.
“We hadn’t access to clean drinking water and SCA has done a huge humanitarian service for us. We were drinking rainy and dirty water in the past. I don’t have many words to appreciate SCA for their vital services” Said 55 years old tribal elder, Mohammad Amin.
According to the residents, they were bringing water kilometers away through donkeys, and as well as their women who also brought water on their heads.
“I was bringing water on my head from the stream and I was tired of this life. Now, I am bringing water easily from the water reservoir without any problem.” Said 10 years old Shukria
