New school to be built in Behsud
SCA formally inaugurated construction of Abdul Rahman school in Behsud area of Jalalabad. The school building which will be completed in eight months is funded by the SCA’s General Fundraising.
The single story building of Abdul Rahman school will be constructed with 7.1 million Afs, which includes six classrooms, one big store, two administration offices, five latrines and a potable water well along with boundary wall. Children both boys and girls of Meeran Tapo, Gul Abad village will be benefited from it.
Mohammadi Gul, a local elder says “We don’t have a school here. Our children used to work in fields, helping their parents. This will be the only school, we will be having. Thanks to SCA.”
Mr. Mirza Mohammad, a local elder has donated his land to construct a school. He says, It took about two years to get approval of the education department to construct a school for us. I donated my land for this purpose and SCA is constructing school building for us. We are happy of SCA.”
Gul Abad village has a population of 2000 families, which compromised four national solidarity shuras’. Each shura has registered five hundred people.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the deputy administration director of education department Mr. Mohammad Essa, Head of eastern regional management office Mr. Abdul Ahad Samoon, Mr. Mohammad Akram Abdul Rahimzai, education project manager and local elders of the community.
