Men and Boys Engagement for Gender Equality in Afghanistan

Swedish Committee for Afghanistan convened a conference entitled “Sharing Learning and Experiences: Men and Boys Engagement for Gender Equality in Afghanistan” with participation of representatives from the Afghan government, including the Chief Executive Office of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ministry of Women Affairs and some other ministries, representatives of National and International NGOs, Civil Society Institutions and Activists.

This one-day conference was primarily focused on key issues including sharing promising practices and lessons learnt in Afghanistan on the engagement of boys and men in gender equality and GBV prevention, exploring the next steps for collaboration on this regard, providing organizations and experts an interdisciplinary and connecting platform for networking, exchange of experiences and reflections to mobilize resources on masculinities and men and boys engagement in Afghanistan.
