Emergency classes for Afghan kids returning from Pakistan
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Muslima of seven (in the picture) is a student of first grade, studying in a classroom established in Shaheed Abdul Jabbar primary school located in Malak Bela of Behsud district. She is among others, whose families returned from neighboring Pakistan after decades, living there as refugees.
SCA executed projects in government schools in Nangarhar
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Swedish Committee for Afghanistan executed construction and rehabilitation projects worth more than nine million Afs in the governmentc schools in eastern Nangarhar province. The project which was funded by Afghan Connection, also includes provision of students’ desks and chairs.
Around 55 million Afs spent to improve living in Kunar
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) completed ten community development projects in eastern Kunar province. The need for these projects were identified by communities, designed, and implemented with their support and consultation.
SCA donates medical and office equipment to the Mehterlam Provincial Hospital
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Swedish Committee for Afghanistan donated medical and non-medical equipment to the Mehterlam provincial hospital. These equipment were handed over by the Head of Eastern Regional Management Office SCA Mr. Abdul Ahad Samoon during a ceremony held in the premises of the hospital.
Newly graduated 25 female nurses introduced to the community
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Twenty-five female students graduated from a two-year Community Health Nursing Education (CHNE) project and received their degrees in a ceremony in eastern Laghman province. CHNE project is funded by the Swedish International Development and Corporation Agency (SIDA) and is jointly implemented by Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) and Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) as a joint venture.
16 Persons with disabilities graduated vocational training course in Laghman
Jalalabad Regional Management Office Upon completion of eight months vocational training, a number of 16 persons with disabilities (PwDs) including 11 females graduated from Swedish Committee for Afghanistan vocational training programme in eastern Laghman province, providing them an opportunity of self-employment to feed their families with honour and respect.
A detergents factory run by persons with disabilities
