SCA inaugurates a new school for girls in Kunar province
Swedish Committee for Afghanistan inaugurated the newly built Shenkorak girls’ high school on Wednesday in Shegal District of Kunar province. It was constructed in 6 months worth of 9,9 million Afs.
Deputy governor for Kunar, director of education, district governors for Shegal & Shiltan districts, tribal elders and SCA representatives participated in the ceremony.
SCA’s programme director, Dr Khalid Fahim said: “people of Shegal district played a vital role in implementation of this project and Swedish committee will continue its humanitarian activities based on the need of the people.”
Deputy governor for Kunar province appreciated humanitarian assistances of the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan and acknowledged SCA’s impartiality and lauded its projects for the people.
