SCA donates medical and office equipment to the Mehterlam Provincial Hospital
Swedish Committee for Afghanistan donated medical and non-medical equipment to the Mehterlam provincial hospital. These equipment were handed over by the Head of Eastern Regional Management Office SCA Mr. Abdul Ahad Samoon during a ceremony held in the premises of the hospital.
Provincial deputy governor of Laghman Mr. Alhaj Shahzada Mazlomyar and Director of Public Health Dr. Abdul Latif Qayyumi and Director of Mehterlam provincial hospital Dr. Attauallah Niazi received the equipments.
Equepments that were donated includes Ultra Sound and Anesthesia machines, Delivery Tables, electrical heaters and office furniture.
Appreciating SCA for the donation, Provincial deputy governor of Laghman Mr. Alhaj Shahzada Mazlomyar asked the hospital management to take proper care of these equipment and utilize it properly to deliver better healthcare services to the patients.
He thanked SCA for their valuable contributions in health sector saying that they (SCA) have brought positive changes in provision of healthcare services.
It merits to mention that SCA has made 30 million Afs increase in the budget for the salaries, purchase and supply of medicines and office equipment of the Mehterlam provincial hospital.
