Children From Nangarhar’s Sikh Community No Longer Suffers From Lack of Education
Education is one of the basic needs of humans in a society, but Sikh community in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan did not had access to education. This is the first time they have their own school which is constructed by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan in the mentioned province.
Baba Kabir, school building’s construction cost valued around AFN 9 million, which includes six classrooms. The construction work was completed in one year and upon completion of the construction work, SCA formally handover the school to the Education Department of Nangarhar province in 2017.
As per the report of 8am new agency, the Ministry of Education formally opened the Baba Kabir school on 13th January 2019.
