Posters will make Afghan men start talking about gender

News A new project from SCA will make Afghan boys and men discuss gender issues. Through groups of activists, equipped with a series of posters, even remote villages will be reached. The posters are raising sensitive issues about domestic violence, early marriages, discrimination and women´s right to participate in society.

181 children graduate in spite of disabilities

Press release On April 19, 181 children with disabilities graduate from the preparatory education provided to them by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan, SCA. The children will now join mainstream, public schools for their continued education. Around 80 of the students attended the graduation ceremony at SCA's office in Mazar-e-Sharif, in the presence of the Swedish ambassador.

Malena Rembe is the new Country Director of Swedish Committee for Afghanistan

Press release Malena Rembe has been appointed Country Director in Afghanistan of the SCA, the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan. She will be based at the SCA head office in Kabul and lead the operations in fourteen provinces. The SCA is a development organization with 5,100 employees providing health care, education and rural development to the local population.
